BLOG: My client and her dress.

Last year we had had the pleasure of working with a client. She had mentioned that she had made her dress. I instantly had questions for people who sew because I'm always learning. During our session, she mentioned that she was creating a 1700's gown using traditional African fabrics.

I told her that when was finished she needed to come back so I can photograph her properly.

I was looking forward to this session all winter. I wanted to photograph her like a beautiful painting. I have found a new appreciation for people who create these types of art pieces.

Hello 2021!!

We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who supported the studio in 2020. Because of your love, we will be here in 2021. 

We are very excited to announce our 2021 logo girl Koko. We met this model at Niki Luparelli's pin-up contest in 2019 where she was crowned Miss Worcester Pin-up. After Koko's prize photo session, we noticed that the camera loved her beauty and confidence and asked her to return. 

Our stylist Mackensie did an amazing job on Koko's hair and make-up to give her a variety of different looks. 

In 2020 we had opened our online store with custom wardrobe. For our 2nd session, we had created most of Koko's wardrobe for her session.  

We are still working out plans for 2021. We already started travel plans for 2022.

BLOG: New Wardrobe Offering at Vintage Girl Studios

We just wanted to take a moment to say Thank you to all our clients who have been with us through the COVID Crisis. Thank you for your flexibility in this trying time for a small creative business. We are prepping our studio and will be opening up our schedule to new clients on August 1st. We are so excited.

If you have been to the studio before you might have heard me mention my Grandmother in law " Grandma Caldarone" She celebrated her 100 birthday in April and became an Angel in May. You might have borrowed her gloves, held her Iron, posed with her blender, and many other things she has donated to the studio over the years. She really would light up when I asked her questions about fashion and life in the 30s through the 60s. I love telling her stories and will miss her very much. As our family is cleaning her home slowly I asked if I could take her sewing machine and supplies. My mother had taught me the basics at 12 and I wanted to share that knowledge with my daughter during this time. I had not touched a sewing machine since my eighth grade home economics class. My daughter had lost interest within a day but I felt great creating. It was truly refreshing not to look at a screen to create.

We would like to announce that Vintage Girl Studios a new upgrade to our sessions. Our biggest question has been about the wardrobe. Will be offering custom made Wardrobe. You are welcome to come in for fittings before your session. You will have a choice of style, colors, and patterns to choose from. You will be able to keep your wardrobe in the end. BLOG: Please and Thank you

Small businesses everywhere have been hit hard during Covid19. It all feels overwhelming, but there is a way for you to help that restaurant, live music venue, charity event, salon, retail store, theatre, etc... that you love. RI Monthly's "Best of RI" has helped many small businesses get well-deserved recognition. That exposure may actually be the difference between failure and success.
